How to check availability zone of Azure VM
Let us discuss all the approaches individually.
Approach-1: Using Azure Portal
To check availability zone of Azure VM, follow the below steps.
1. Log in to the Azure Portal.
2. Search for Virtual Machines and then click on the search result Virtual Machines under the services as shown in the below screenshot.

3. Click on the specific virtual machine from the lists of Azure Virtual Machines.

4. On the Overview page, You can see the availability zone as 1 as shown in the screenshot below.

Or, you can also follow the below steps.
1. Follow the steps 1 to 4 from the above section.
2. On the Virtual machine page, expand the Settings node and then click the Properties option and then you can see the Availability zone as 1 on the right side as shown in the below screenshot.

Approach-2: Using Azure CLI
We can execute the below Azure CLI command for the same purpose.
az vm show --resource-group Testing --name AzurelessonsNewVM --query "zones" --output tsvAfter executing the above command, I got the expected output as shown in the screenshot below.
